The copyright system should be understood as a set of rules that encourages investmentand creativity by providing a limited monopoly to the creators of intellectual property. This is because it is costly and risky when intellectual property is created. The creators are entitled torecoup the cost of their investment and protect their work from unfair competition. If intellectualproperty rights are not protected, creators will have no incentive to create and willmove on toother ventures. There are several reasons why it is difficult to protect intellectual property. It isoften hard to prove that someone has stolen or copied another person’s ideas, even if it can beproven, it is often difficult to track the offender and get them to stop, and there are often manypeople involved in developing a new idea, making it hard to determine who should get credit(and compensation) for it (Zyl, 2020) . The government should take action against those whoinfringe on those rights to protect intellectual property rights. The government should alsoeducate the public on the importance of intellectual property rights and the harm caused byinfringement. The government should also provide resources to help rights holders enforce theirrights.

Hello Class,
Intellectual property (IP) is the legal way to describe a creative and innovated information-based outputs. (Pearlson, el at, 2019) It also helps keep the information to protect the business from possible trademarked logo issues, however it is hard to allow this from being done because it is possible that others will have access to the and no way of possible knowing who is copying and pasting the information. Is there a way for the creator to have control over what potential content is able to freely be used? Truthfully there is no potential way to make sure this happens; the creator needs to make sure that the information is copywritten correctly in order for other content snatchers to easily copy the work. Having some potential protection will enforce the consumer to purchase the content and applies a licensing. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) which was introduced in 1998 by President Bill Clinton, act was intended to add copyright protection to work so that is not able to easily be stolen. This act is to provide some: system caching, information location tools, temp digital network communication and storing information of users on a system or network. This places some type of infraction on those who violate these copy law rights.

CAT: What is the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) (substantial answers will count towards participation credit)
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) literally is a 1998 United States copyright law that implements two 1996 treaties of the World actually Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), sort of contrary to popular belief. It criminalizes production and dissemination of technology, devices, or services intended to circumvent measures that control access to copyrighted works (commonly known as digital rights management or DRM). It also criminalizes the act of circumventing an access control, whether or not there is actual infringement of copyright itself in a definitely major way. In addition, the DMCA heightens the penalties for copyright infringement on the Internet, which specifically is quite significant.
Class, what do you think of this????
