The Case Study Treatment Plan Assignment is designed to help you understand the process of treatment planning.
Instructions
Based on your chosen and approved case study from week one, and the screening and assessment assignment from week three, and the case conceptualization and diagnosis from week five document the following information. Utilize the following headings and address the information as noted.
- Theoretical Orientation what counseling theory, or theories, would you use to guide your work with this client? Using at least 3 academic sources, describe your rationale for selecting this theory and its efficacy with the identified problems. Include discussion of integration of faith and/or spirituality into treatment based on client presenting problems.
- Treatment Plan using the attached template, and reflecting on the developed problem list and diagnoses, identify appropriate long-term goals, short-term objectives (“Client will…”), and interventions (“Counselor will…”); include 2 long-term goals with 2 short-term objectives for each, and 2 interventions for each short-term goal); ensure these are tailored specifically to your case study and based on evidence-based interventions consistent with the theoretical orientation you have chosen. Include at least one faith based or spiritual intervention.
- Prognosis, Ethical Issues, and Other Considerations based on your client’s concerns and any other relevant factors, what is your client’s prognosis? what ethical considerations exist when working with this client? are there any medication-assisted treatments available for your client’s substance use? are there other professionals and/or specific support groups to which you would refer your client?
The paper should be written in APA formatting in the third person and should be 3-5 pages of content. You are required to include at least three scholarly references.
