Week 6 Meal Plan

It is important to know the nutritional needs for the children you are working with and the guidelines that must be followed when meal planning.

Choose an age range of children from your field experience setting, 9-12 months, 13-24 months, or 25-36 months.

Review the nutritional needs and information provided by the parents of these children at the center. You may need to get this information from the director or classroom teachers. Create a weeklong meal plan, including breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack, that is nutritious, developmentally appropriate, and adheres to the Child and Adult Care Food Program Guidelines. Be sure to address any individual nutritional needs indicated by parents.

Include a 250-500 word rationale, explaining your meal choices.

Support your findings with 1-2 scholarly resources.
