Using the industry where you currently work or have worked before, write a 2 to 3 page business proposal recommending your choice between Android or iOS. From a user and developer’s perspective, which would you recommend to your company and why?
Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:
But it is writing, so you should bring all of your skills and knowledge about writing to this assignment. This type of writing has a specific purpose, target audience, and usually, format. As a subject-matter expert and professional, you will inevitably be called upon to create such a proposal. There are so many purposes for which proposals are written, though. And, the purpose actually dictates how the proposal should be written. I have suggested for this assignment that you start with one of the many business proposal templates that are available online. Students always ask – but which template should I choose? I am not giving a clear answer to that question that you might want. In this email/memo, I provide some criteria about proposal objectives which I believe will assist you in choosing a proposal template. I will say that you will certainly find a qualifying template online, but you will need to modify it slightly to fit the perspective that I have given. I asked you to take the perspective of you being an (IT) subject-matter expert in a company where you are employed – or aspire to work at (can be a fictious company). You are NOT selling here, either a product or service. But your management is relying on your knowledge and experience to make a business choice to adopt an Android or iOS platform. So, this would be a “solicited” type of proposal document. Here are a few other tips – proposal objectives, that I think will help you in selecting a template to fit your need: What is a proposal?
A proposal is a formal offer/recommendation written in response to a specific request or opportunity with a prospective client (your management). As the name suggests, it proposes a unique idea or a solution (Android or iOS) to a client’s problem. Proposals are evaluated on whether they meet a client’s expectations regarding goals, timelines, deliverables, and budget.
Business proposals are either solicited or unsolicited. A solicited proposal is one that has been requested by a client. Proposals provide an in-depth explanation of the work being done (reasons to choose one platform over the other), with details about scope, deliverables, milestones, and qualifications as well as budget.
