DQ2:

Compare the English language proficiency or development standards of two states, with one being the state in which you currently or plan to teach. In addition to the standards, explore the proficiency level descriptors.

How do these standards reflect the stages of second language acquisition? How can you orient your students with their English language proficiency levels and provide them with greater control over their own English language proficiency?
