In this assessment, you will explore the future of training and development with a focus on the impact of advances in technology.
Instructions
Select two of the following training technology topics:
- Wearables (smartwatches, smart bands, smart glasses).
- Artificial intelligence / Internet of Things (IoT).
- Telepresence.
- Tin Can API.
Complete the following for each technology:
- Describe each of technology, including information such as who developed it and what it does.
- Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the two forms of technology.
- Project how this technology will be used in the future in a selected industry.
- Discuss the implications of these two forms of technology on trainers and training designers.
Assessment Requirements
- Written communication: Write in a professional style with correct grammar, usage, and mechanics.
- Resources: Include at least 1 peer-reviewed resource that is not from ATD or SHRM.
- APA formatting: Use current APA style and formatting to present your references and citations.
- Length of paper: 3–4 typed, double-spaced pages.
- Font and font size: Times New Roman, 12-point.
