Strategic Components For An IT Policy

For this task, assume you are the CIO of an organization that needs to
implement your comprehensive IT Policy Portfolio. You are adding this
need to your IT strategic plan, to be fully implemented in 1 year. Again,
it may be helpful to use a real organization (Acme Corporation).
Your goal: Implement a comprehensive IT Policy Portfolio that will be
used organization-wide. Create the objectives, strategies, tactics that
would be involved in achieving your goal. This is a simple example of a
table you might use to display your objectives, strategies, and tactics:
Table 1. Example Table

Write a report that includes the following:
1. Formulate at least two objectives that would be needed to
achieve your goal.
a. Evaluate your organization’s current state and compare it to
the policies you created, and then determine the objectives
that must be achieved to implement the policies.
2. Develop at least two strategies associated with each objective.
3. Create at least two tactics needed to realize each of the
strategies.
4. Explain and justify your objectives, strategies, and tactics. Include
a table showing an overview of these in an appendix.
Remember, you are formulating a strategic plan and objectives. You
are not writing an essay. This information should be written from a
real-world professional perspective and not an academic
perspective. You should use theories and academic concepts to inform
your writing, but your focus should be on your solution and on your
application of academic concepts in the real world.
Length: 3-4 pages, not including title page and references or appendix
References: Include a minimum of 5 scholarly resources.
