For your initial post, do all of the following: 

§  Choose one of these topics to write about in your initial post:

o    health disparities/inequities related to the COVID-19 pandemic, or

o    discrimination/stigmatization related to COVID-19.  

§  Search online and find a website that consists of information about the topic you selected above. This may be a news article, a webpage on a government site, information on a school’s website, information on a non-profit organization’s website, or other types of information.

  • Note: Do not use the videos, links, or resources posted in the Health Disparities and Discrimination in COVID-19 Responses  
  •  Share the link in your post, and discuss if you think this article/information is credible or questionable and explain why.
  •  In other words, tell us why you think the information you found is a good/credible source or a bad/questionable source. Be sure to use what you learned from the Evaluating Internet Sources lecture to help you evaluate the website and compose your posts for this discussion. 

Then, find a scholarly peer-reviewed article about the same topic that you wrote about earlier (i.e., the health disparities/inequities or discrimination/stigmatization related to COVID-19).   • Give a very brief summary of the article in a few sentences.
  • Then, provide a brief evaluation telling us what you think of the article.
  • Please note that this is merely a critical thinking practice; you don’t need to overthink about this part. A brief summary and evaluation based on the readings/lectures will suffice.
  •  Finally, cite the peer-reviewed article using APA style at the end so that we can easily look it up online
