2.3 Assignment. Style Under Stress Survey Reflection

Getting Started

In Chapter 6 of Crucial Conversations, there is a Style Under Stress survey. This tool will help you identify whether you tend toward silence or violence in crucial conversations. It takes you even deeper to identify which of the three types of silence or three types of violence you tend to use most. The second half of the survey helps you understand which of the nine tools you are best at right now and which you need to work on. Self-awareness, which you will be practicing and developing in this assignment, is an important leadership principle.

Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:

  • Identify your style under stress and explain how it impacts your ability to have successful crucial conversations.
