ASSIGNMENT
You will write an essay of a page and a half. Your grade will be determined by the following the parts of an essay discussed in the lecture notes: an introduction containing opening remarks and a thesis statement, at least two body paragraphs with topic sentences and supporting details, and a conclusion with a restated thesis and closing remarks. You will also be evaluated on your grammar and clarity of writing (see the grading scale on the syllabus). Choose one of the following writing topics:
- If you could change the world, what problem would you choose to fix and why? RACISM is the topic chosen.
REMINDERS
- This is a minor practice assignment so you can improve your skills. I will grade and offer feedback on your assignment.
- You will submit your work in Turnitin which will generate originality and Al-generated percentages. If you do not know how to use Turnitn, there is a video walking you through it in the Composition I Information module. The originality report will track anything pulled from the internet, and the Al score will give a percentage of your work that it suspects is Al-generated. Please do not copy and paste from the internet or use an Al generation site, such as ChatGPT, to do your work.
