Your final project is an opportunity for you to integrate the course material in a creative and personal way.

Choose one option from the following list of projects:

Option 1: Personal Integration Paper and Presentation:

Write an autobiography (1,750– to 2,250-words) in which you describe your own developmental path and your relationship with the particular topic you have chosen, reflecting on your own cognitive, physical, cultural, socioemotional, and spiritual journey through the present.

Use course material as you integrate your personal journey with some of the theoretical perspectives we have addressed in the course.

Prepare a 5-minute recorded presentation in which you summarize your autobiography.

Option 2: Visual Arts: Human Development Journey:

Create a visual collage, which illustrates your own human development journey (physical, cognitive, socioemotional, cultural, and spiritual) as it relates to this topic. This could include photographs of yourself and family, representative magazine clippings, other pictures such as of children’s books or toys, etc., which represent your development.

Prepare a 7- to 10-minute recorded presentation in which you describe your collage and discuss how the various visual pieces relate to the particular human development topic you selected.

Option 3: Successful Ageing Presentation:

Prepare a 12- to 15-minute recorded presentation highlighting the most recent research on successful aging targeting adults across the lifespan (young, middle, and older adults).

Include research related to the following facets of ageing in your presentation:

Socioemotional

Physical
