The goal of the Leadership Project Proposal is to explore and creatively plan nursing strategies toward the alleviation of a health care problem by demonstrating professional nursing leadership skills and autonomy through evidence based practice.

This project will not be implemented. This project is a proposal from problem identification, planning of goals and interventions aligned to nursing and change theory, and development of an evaluation strategy. 

The Leadership Project Proposal is based upon researching a nursing-related problem and creating a proposal to respond to that problem through change. The nursing-related problem is approved in the discussion forum Discussion PICOT and Summary of Project and will be used. The facility where the problem exists must be de-identified for geographical location and name. 

The Leadership Project meets the Experiential Learning portion of the curriculum. 

In this assignment, write an APA formatted Paper for the mid-term. The paper is around 7 pages including the cover and references. application project paper midterm template.

Elements of this paper include:

  • Title Page with APA 7th ed. cover page elements
  • Introduction
  • Review of Literature (at least one)
  • Project Description
  • Implications and conclusions for the Project
  • Reference Slide

The Paper is graded by rubric in the syllabus.  

Will post op surgical patients have a decreased chance of getting a DVT after surgery if nurses used sequential compression devices while they are in bed to prevent blood clots?
