One of the most effective ways to develop your teaching skills is to observe experienced educators. Ask an experienced teacher you know to allow you to observe them while they teach in their classroom for a short period of time (30 to 60 minutes). Make a list of the behaviors that you notice and using the chart provided, try to identify how each action or behavior encouraged student learning.
