Maria is a 48-year-old woman, married for the second time and with two children, ages 16 and 17. She has a law degree and works as a criminal lawyer at the Monte Olivo Law Firm. The reason for her consultation and, therefore, the objective of her evaluation and treatment was her continuous state of anxiety and irritability. The most pronounced problems that she presented were her excessive worries and irritability due to her frustration with behaviors of other lawyers that did not conform to her expectations and not as aggressiveness or anger directed at others. These disorders were accompanied by muscle tension, tachycardia on some occasions, and rapid breathing. These problems appeared in different daily situations that were beyond her control: the behavior of her children, the behavior of her parents and her sister, criticism received at work, misunderstandings with colleagues and frequent calls from her mother. It was the first time the patient received psychological treatment. Maria occasionally self-medicated with Temazepam 1mg when she was especially nervous. María secretly obtained Temazapan from her mother who took it by prescription. Maria began to go to her consultation. In session number 4 of her therapy, Maria, she told her Clinical Social Worker that she had dreamed of him and that she considered him a handsome man. Thatifsheaskedhimout, thatwaspossible.
