Reflection

Innovation is not so much about the newest medical technology and equipment as much as it is about thinking differently about a problem that is presented to you. As you think about the design of your Capstone Project program, reflect on some of the innovative and effective approaches you have come across in your research. 

Reflect on the following in a minimum of 500 words: 

  • How will your service address broader public health issues and the overall health of the population in your county? 
  • What innovations will your service bring to the industry? How will you utilize new advances such as telemedicine and other types of virtual care in your service? 

 

Competency 2 

Demonstrate business acumen in a health sector context that provides a sustainable foundation for your capstone. 

Reflection

Health care organizations are each held to quality and safety standards based on the types of care they provide. As you research the standards of care that impact your program, discuss your findings with your class. 

Reflect on the following in a minimum of 500 words:

  • What quality metrics will you put into place and monitor to track the quality of your health care service? 
  • Provide evidence from your research on practices and programs used by health care organizations to monitor quality in the delivery of care. Explain your findings. 

 

Competency 3

Demonstrate successful integration of best practice insights and self-awareness to drive innovation through your capstone product. 

Reflection

What does it mean to be a transformative leader? How do these ideas trickle down through the organization? Think about the insight you have found in your research. 

Reflect on the following in a minimum of 500 words:

  • How will you employ a transformational leadership style in your service?  
  • What policies, procedures, and/or incentives will be used to make your leadership transformational? How will these approaches keep your program inclusive and entrepreneurial?
